Gebro Context
Laboratorios Gebro Pharma is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and marketing of prescription and hospital drugs.
Its commitment: to improve the health and quality of life of patients every day through its products.
Gebro Health Talks is a space for dialogue and learning between Gebro Pharma Laboratories and the scientific and healthcare community in Spain. It was created with the aim of becoming a Medical Education portal, mainly in these four therapeutic areas: Autoimmune Diseases, Respiratory Diseases, Pain, and Urology.
Goals of the project
Gebro wants to have its own space to disseminate both its products and knowledge about its therapeutic areas of reference. Likewise, it also seeks to improve its business model through omni-channeling and support for medical professionals with new digital tools. For all these reasons, they have created the Medical Education portal Gebro Health Talks using the Foxize Cloud LMS platform. The target audience is healthcare professionals. The contents are in different textual and audiovisual formats and range from training events (courses, webinars, conferences, small capsules, workshops, etc.) to more self-learning or consultation content (documents, articles, papers, presentations, etc.).
Their goal and main KPI is to reach 3,920 people registered on the platform by 2022.
How they have done it
The first step was to migrate all Gebro Health Talks content, previously hosted on their website https://gebro.es/, to this new Medical Education platform managed by the Foxize Cloud LMS.
Secondly, and to facilitate access to training content of great value to the health sector, the API OWA (Onekey) was implemented. OWA is the authentication system of reference among the scientific and healthcare community in Spain. It guarantees access to the platform through the credentials of each qualified healthcare professional.
The contents of the platform cover a wide range of categories: training, publications, drug data sheets, support material, expert opinions and events. In addition, they are classified by therapeutic areas: Pain, Autoimmune Diseases, Oncology, Respiratory, Urology, Gynecology, and Vitamin D.
Thanks to the functionalities and flexibility of the Foxize Cloud platform, Gebro Pharma has segmented the contents very well by type of training material and by therapeutic area. At the same time, thanks to the possibilities offered by the platform to customize all types of content and courses, Gebro Pharma established its own digital identity. For example, in the training actions it was able to put thumbnails, images of the teacher ad hoc, or course headers with its banner and associated documentation.
Another feature that adds a lot of value to the project is the possibility of generating email marketing campaigns. In this way, when there is a new Event type content, a communication is sent to all users from the platform's Email Marketing tool.
The results
The Gebro Health Talks platform, together with Foxize Cloud, achieved the following results in just 4 months:
- 1,287 people registered on the platform
- 867 active users
- 67.78 % of engagement (people registered in the platform activities).
- The targets with the highest activity are Urology & Gynecology and Respiratory. They represent 15% and 10% respectively of the total number of specialties.
- Training courses and support material are the type of content with the highest level of acceptance among the public.
The average rating of the courses is 4.3 out of 5.
Next steps
Gebro Health Talks wants to reach as many people as possible in the medical, scientific and pharmaceutical fields. To this end, the next step will be to connect the platform with the Veeva CRM through Foxize Cloud. This way, all the platform's activity can also be linked to that of the CRM and subsequently analyzed from the company's Business Intelligence systems.
In addition, and in order to broaden the target audience, a catalog of parallel content is being created exclusively for the nursing community. Due to GDPR regulations, this group cannot view the same content as medical professionals.
